Our
system to insure quality has three fundamental steps
in the chaín of production, through the Quality Management
System (Sistema de Gestión para la Calidad GAP):
Preventive
Quality
| This
system of quality is under the responsibility of
the foremen and field supervisors along with the
rest of the personnel in their charge. It begins
from the moment in which the plant grows its first
cluster until the moment of harvesting. It lasts
approximately 12 weeks. It consists of taking care,
during this time, for the cluster to get the necessary
treatment so that at the end of the period, there
will exist a clean fruit, scar free, without damages
or insects.

|
Harvest
 |
This
is one of the most important moments in the chain
of production, in this stage there's the participation
of all the farm's personnel, with the direct responsibility
falling upon the field supervisors. This stage requires
much responsibility and commitment on behalf of
the people involved, because in one day the result
of all the care and effort that was put into the
plant in the last 12 weeks is obtained.
|
Besides
the above mentioned, the fruit must be taken to the
packing plant with the least amount of damages, as possible,
and this is only obtained with an identification between
the employee and the enterprise.
Post
Harvest (Packing)
|
This
stage is as important as the previous two steps.
It's done the same day as harvest. It begins from
the moment the clusters come in from the field
and the process begins, it involves certification
of the clusters to be processed, washing, selection,
labeling and the diverse treatments until it is
packed in the boxes and afterwards it is shipped
in containers, which are controlled from their
arrival to their dispatch, principally temperature
and ventilation.

|
This
is all done so the final consumer can enjoy an excellent
quality banana, so much as in esthetic as in its nutritional
content, without leaving out that behind each of these
stages there are working, happy people who are committed
to always give their best.
